WHO WE ARE
The u3a is a network of educational, creative, leisure and social activities organised for, and by, its retired and semi-retired members.
The u3a subscribes to the ethic of lifelong learning and is for those who are retired, semi retired or no longer in full time employment.
Members from a wide area around Whittlesey enjoy social activities that include outings, events, and trips.
Whittlesey and District u3a, which has been active since May 2015, is part of the National u3a which is registered with the Third Age Charitable Trust which has over one thousand branches.
There is an element of learning in everything we do, from improving language skills to walking or cycling in the countryside.
You won't sit exams and no certificates are on offer, just the satisfaction of exercising minds and limbs in the company of others with laughter and friendship.
Interest groups range from walking to paper-crafting to creative writing, all run for and by our members. (Find a full list on our Groups page.)
Some groups are free, others have small charges to cover the hire of premises and materials. See Membership application for a printable membership form with details of our current annual subscription.
Meanwhile, join us on our Whittlesey u3a Facebook page for articles, blogs and local chat.
