The Group covers whittling (carving with knives) and chip carving (a simple method of decorating wooden surfaces).

Neither of these activities requires expensive tools (a decent pen-knife is enough) and the group is suitable both for beginners and more experienced woodworkers.

Everyone does their own thing, but there are plenty of "how-to" books available, and everyone is happy to help with any questions.
